Great American Cleanup™

Considered the nation\'s largest annual community improvement program in the United States, the Great American Cleanup™ is organized by Keep America Beautiful, Inc.

Millions of volunteers nationwide gather each year to become stewards of the environment in communities across America. The program was recently executed in 50 states, plus Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, Winnipeg, Canada and St. John, U.S.V.I.

State and local activities focus on areas of greatest need in each participating community, including: Litter Cleanups; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (e.g., clothes collection programs); Community Improvement and Beautification (e.g. Adopt-A-Spot, tree & flower planning, etc.); Roadway Cleanup and Beautification; Hazardous Waste collections; Litter-Free Events; Education/Community Educational Workshops and Special Promotions.

Volunteers are always needed and welcomed; look for your local program by clicking on NM Keep America Beautiful Programs to get involved, or call 1-800-Toss-No-Mas (1-800-867-7666).
